Prepvid for Windows

Coming soon

The installer and portable app are being prepared.

The installer can help set up FFmpeg and FFprobe. The portable app uses tools already installed on your computer.

A few useful details

Before you begin.

What can I do with Prepvid?

Cut selected clips, compress a whole video, or combine selected clips into one file. You can also split a recording automatically by clip count, duration, or maximum file size.

Does Prepvid change my original video?

No. Prepvid creates new MP4 files in your chosen output folder. Existing files are kept, and matching output names receive a numeric suffix.

What formats can I use?

Prepvid uses your installed FFmpeg to read video formats such as MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and AVI. Exports use MP4 with H.264 video and optional stereo AAC audio. Some source formats need a temporary preview copy to play in the app.

Is Prepvid a full video editor?

Prepvid focuses on preparing video files: choosing clips, removing unneeded footage, and reducing file size. Its controls are built around cutting and compression.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows computer with working FFmpeg and FFprobe installations. The installer offers setup if the tools are missing. CPU encoding is available, with optional NVIDIA encoding on supported systems.
